On Monday (20 June), London Technology Week’s launch event took place at The Yard in Shoreditch. Smyle produced the event, which was designed to tell the ‘London Convergence Story’ and featured the disruptive technologies that are transforming traditional industries such as fashion, healthcare, music and advertising. Live installations from Fashtech and new technologies from Imperial College London provided the backdrop for a series of content sessions.

Also on Monday, C&IT and Dubai Business Events welcomed event planners from drp, AddingValue, Clive, CWT Meetings & Events, Ashfield Meetings & Events, American Express Meetings & Events, Shell International, Eventful and BCD Meetings & Events to their roundtable dinner event to debate incentive trips. Participants agreed that safety is a key issue for clients right now when choosing incentive destinations, with unique and different experiences also high on the wishlist.
On Saturday (18 June), Keith Prowse hosted guests at its Roof Garden corporate hospitality area for the Aegon Championships tennis at The Queen's Club, London. The hybrid hospitality concept is a 'fusion of casual and formal' and Keith Prowse hosted more than 7,500 guests during the seven-day tournament.
Rotunda Bar and Restaurant, part of Kings Place Events in London, hosted a Lamb Supper Club on Tuesday (21 June), showcasing the 'gate to plate' story of its lamb (and beef): from the farm in Northumberland to the on-site hanging room, to the restaurant table. The ethos runs across the business, including the group's event catering.
