Mediterranean Incentives: Gozo, Malta

As safety rises quickly up the destination agenda, C&IT picks five of the best Mediterranean havens. Next up, Malta's little sister Gozo.

Cassander van Eerd, deputy MD, events at agency AddingValue, previously organised an event for Peugeot on the Maltese island and says it offers easy access from the UK, providing a great option for groups looking for something different.

"It's impressive how green it is and there is a lot of produce growing on the island," he says.

While Eerd says hotel stock on the island is limited - options include the 142-room Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz and the 83-room Hotel Ta' Cenc - there are plenty of activities on offer. Groups can enjoy welcome drinks at Ta' Mena vineyard, take a cruise around the island with a stop on sister island Comino for lunch and head out on jeep safaris.

For dining options, check out Patrick's Tmun in capital Victoria for private functions, and a fine-dining experience at Ta' Frenc, which has a range of spaces that can be privatised for events, including the private dining room for 22 and the courtyard for 350 seated.
