Euro 2016: 3 of the best football-themed corporate activities

As the Euro 2016 championship kicks off today, a number of agencies are launching football-themed options for corporate groups. C&IT brings you three of the best.

Chillisauce: Euro Fun Zone

Chillisauce is offering bespoke, Euro-inspired fun days for corporate groups, which can be held at a number of venues all across the UK. After theming out the venue and setting up giant screens to watch the match on, groups can also choose from a wide range of additional activities including Human Table Football, Giant Inflatables and Zorb Football. Another opportunity available with this event is Play With A Legend. This is where ex-England footballers who have previously played in the Euros – such as Darren Anderton, Robbie Fowler and Paul Merson – set up a coaching and tactics session before picking teams to play against each other. Afterwards, the ex-pros are then able to socialise with guests for drinks and share their personal stories from the Euros.

Wildgoose: Kick Off Challenge

Wildgoose has launched The Kick Off Challenge, which features a range of questions, tasks and challenges inspired by the 24 competing nations at this year’s tournament. The challenge encourages teams to take to the streets, parks or a venue of their choice to compete, engage and bond with colleagues. The event includes tasks, questions and trivia inspired by the competing countries, making sure teams work together to channel their creativity. Jonny Edser, managing director, said: "Following the success of last year’s Scrum Challenge, which was inspired by the Rugby World Cup, we decided celebrating Euro 2016 would be a great idea. The beauty of this, and so many of our events, is that they can take place anywhere – indoors or outdoors. No football pitch required for this one and hopefully no red cards either!"

Bluehat: Fever Pitch

Bluehat Group offers a teambuilding activity for up to 1,000 delegates called Fever Pitch, which divides the audience at a conference into two sides. Each person wears a red or yellow t-shirt, bandana or cap, while two presenters on stage work with them on chants and cheers. "The idea is to boost collaboration, as well as getting people to compete with their opponents," said Ben Parkinson, commercial director at Bluehat Group. "It creates an amazing atmosphere and is a perfect energiser or ice-breaker for large numbers who have little space or time and may even be restricted to the seats in the conference hall."
