Day one of C&IT and VisitBerlin's Berlin Forum saw agency planners fly to the city and check in to the Hotel Palace Berlin, before transferring to Hotel Berlin Berlin for the start of the forum. The day kicked off with a welcome by C&IT's associate editor Susie Harwood, before delegates enjoyed lunch after their morning of flying.

The first day at the forum saw a number of one to one meetings take place, as well as a presentation from VisitBerlin to highlight the merits of the city as an events destination, and a talk by MCI Germany and Ovation DMC on Berlin as a city of contast. 

In the evening the group enjoyed a drinks reception and dinner at The Grand, an old school building converted into a French-German restaurant.
