"When we look at our client base it’s very south-centric, so we want to increase and develop new clients in the north," said Sam Robson, group events director at The Appointment Group.

"We really do well at repeat business, so I think the challenge for us now is to start pitching for new clients, getting on procurement lists and building relationships. Up to now, we haven’t had a specific business development director in the events division, but that’s something that’s going to change as we’re currently actively recruiting for this role."

Robson also told C&IT that the agency has had a good start to the year, with growth in the travel and logistics side of the business as well as in events.
