The Oysters appoints Cordate Solutions

The Oysters has appointed Cordate Solutions to handle its secretariat and business development services, to help drive awareness of the association within the UK business events market.

Managing partner of Cordate Solutions, Hamish Reid, said the Oysters represented an exciting mix of destinations, with 26 overseas tourist boards and regional convention bureau members. The appointment of a secretariat is to support the elected Oyster Committee develop the association’s administration processes and activity in the UK market. Cordate Solutions was appointed after a rigorous public tender process, which had eight responses.

"I am delighted to be working with some of the most dynamic world destinations and helping to support the Oysters associations’ activity in the UK market," added Reid.

Tourism Australia's Lene Corgan, said: "Hamish is a very well-known and respected individual in the destination marketing world. Following the tender proces,s Cordate Solutions was the unanimous choice of the selection panel. Hamish brings to us a wealth of experience and knowledge about outbound business events. Together with this central resource support, we aim to grow the combined activities of the group enabling greater synergy across the broad spectrum of events we undertake. Our next major event is our annual networking event, which will take place in the autumn."
