Event technology platform Poken has hired Ron Speechley as US sales director.

Speechley has been appointed to the newly created role of sales director and will be based at the company’s New York office.

Speechley has extensive sales and sales management experience, after leading sales teams at Kantar Media SRDS, a media search engine, for more than 20 years. 

Speaking about his new role, he said: "I learnt of Poken several years ago after reading an article in an in-flight magazine, I kept my eye on the company and hoped to one day play a role in helping it grow its footprint in the US event marketplace.

Poken’s CEO, Stephane Doutriaux, added: "I welcome Ron to Poken and I am excited about the future direction of the company. Both our product and processes continue to evolve and we are better positioned for growth now than ever before."
