The brand will also provide free, unbiased information and assistance to event organisers who are considering the Maltese Islands as a place to host their event.

The Minister for Tourism, Dr Edward Zammit Lewis, will be kicking off the international promotion at the Malta Tourism Authority stand at IMEX in Frankfurt this week.

"We are certain that Conventions Malta will have a positive impact on the number of inbound business travellers to Malta," said Peter Vella, UK director for the Malta Tourism Authority. "This new concept ensures that business delegates have all the information they need at their fingertips. With the prestigious title of European Capital Of Culture 2018 and the EU Presidency takeover in January 2017, Malta has a lot to offer travellers in terms of culture, history, gastronomy and outdoor pursuits."
