In January, C&IT exclusively revealed the agency’s plans to expand its office space, details of which were fully explained yesterday in an unveiling ceremony which saw an a 6m high easter egg explode, revealing the new office space.

The 18,288sqm expansion will see drp double its floor space with two new areas. These will house a construction workshop area which triples the size of the current space, complete with its own self-contained loading bay and the capacity to build custom sets, exhibition stands, and more complex solutions.

The other area will be separated into a new set, scenery storage area, set covering area, technical preparation space and two dedicated loading bays specifically to accommodate HGV’s and allow simultaneous loading.

Dale Parmenter, CEO at drp, said: "The new expansion has happened a lot faster than we anticipated, it will allow us to increase our capacity, service levels, and quality for our clients.

"The site is undoubtedly the largest and most comprehensive corporate communication complex in the UK, if not Europe. This investment is part of an on-going programme to realise our vision of being the company of choice for presentation and communication solutions globally."
