The new route from London City Airport to Berlin will operate three times daily and will launch on 19 June 2016.
Hamburg is currently served from London City Airport by British Airways’ franchise partner SUN-AIR, but from 8 May British Airways will take over the route using a larger Saab 2000 aircraft, which will more than double the number of seats available.
The new flights to Berlin and Hamburg, in addition to existing services to Dusseldorf and Frankfurt, will mean the airline will operate more than 70 flights a week to Germany from London City Airport.
British Airways will also operate a new weekly flight to Berlin from Stansted this summer.
Luke Hayhoe, British Airways’ general manager commercial and customer, London City, said: "Germany is a very important market for us and these new routes give both our business and leisure customers a much wider choice of destinations with a well-timed schedule."
