A group of Fast Forward 15 mentors and former mentees took to the skies last night (10 March) to climb the 02 in Greenwich. Organised by Zibrant’s Fay Sharpe, the event took place to congratulate the Fast Forward mentees on organising the recent ‘Night of Sparkle’ charity event for industry professionals. The trip, which was provided by the 02 on a complementary basis, was followed by drinks and nibbles at the airport-themed NY-LON lounge bar.

On Monday and Tuesday (7-8 March), C&IT held its 2016 Association Forum at The Richmond Hill Hotel. More than 60 event professionals gathered for the two-day event, which was chaired by broadcaster and columnist Julia Hartley-Brewer. The event featured a series of think tanks, case studies and workshops, with a drinks reception and dinner on the first evening. As well as attending the content sessions, delegates networked with industry peers and met suppliers on a one-to-one basis.

At the weekend (4-5 March), London City Selection (LCS) hosted a group of more than 30 event agents on a Sherlock Holmes inspired fam trip. The Curious Incident of London City Selection saw agents from Vista, Inntel and Venue Search London take part in a series of challenges at member venues across London.Organised by LCS’s official partners, Right Angle Events, the agents took part in investigative activities, in keeping with the theme.

The weekend began with an evening reception at One Moorgate Place, where agents were welcomed, assigned team leaders and given clues, before being transported by LCS’s Routemaster bus for the first of a two night stay at member hotels. This was followed by breakfast at Sadler’s Wells and a series of challenges to solve the Curious Incident of London City Selection. A lunch stop was provided at the Barbican and the day concluded with a drinks reception and gala dinner at The HAC, where winning teams were announced.
