According to the director’s report, the group achieved its most successful period in 31 years of trading, with the meeting and events department attracting the most business.

Turnover was recorded at £16.8m, compared to just over £15m the year before.

"The group has had a successful year attracting new business and retaining existing clients, both of which have contributed to the group’s growth during the last financial period," said Mark Wheeler, director of finance, in a statement. "The group’s meetings and events team has benefitted from greater growth than any other department as a result of persistent sales activity in this area."

The report also showed that the first quarter of this financial year has seen more growth than in the first quarter of 2015.
