Flybe will be launching a new daily flight between Southampton and Lyon as part of its 2016 summer schedule.

The route, which will operate daily between 23 May and 29 October, is expected to be popular with business travelers.

From Monday to Saturday, the flight will depart Southampton at 7am, arriving in Lyon at 9.50am. The return flight will leave Lyon at 10.25am, arriving in Southampton at 11.25am. 

On Sundays, the flight will leave Southampton at 10am, arriving in Lyoon at 12.50pm. The return flight will leave at 1.25pm, arriving back in Southampton at 2.25pm.

MD of Southampton Airport, Dave Lees, said: "The new Flybe route to Lyon from Southampton opens up air links to the second largest metropolitan area in France, after Paris. It is a business centre specialising in banking, chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. This new route is likely to be popular with leisure and business passengers alike."
