Bluehat Group’s birthday celebrations have taken place this week, with 35 staff members attending a meeting on the future of the agency, before moving to Bounce in Shoreditch. There the agency played its new game, Beat the Box, and discussed the new products it will be bringing exclusively to the UK industry this year. This was followed by the Bluebell Awards, which recognise individuals who had lived out the company’s values throughout the last year and rewarded them with trophies and certificates. After this the celebrations began with a few games of ping-pong to finish the evening.
This week's top five stories:
On Saturday (30 January), The Appointment Group’s annual conference took place in Manchester. The company’s London and Manchester offices joined representatives from its international offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore to review the group’s performance in 2015 and discuss plans and objectives for the coming year. The Doubletree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly hosted the company’s 170 delegates for the presentations and supplied accommodation.
After the conference, staff turned detective for an afternoon’s crime solving activity and learned the art of finger printing, creating a e-photofit and hunting for clues from ex-Scotland Yard officers including a visit to the ‘crime scene’ at the company’s Manchester office. Later on, a gala dinner took place at the Lowry Hotel.
On Thursday, event professionals gathered at the Hilton Bankside’s ballroom for its launch party. Guests enjoyed champagne and cocktails as well as a number of food stations, including seafood, Chinese, Indian, and meat, as well as a dessert counter and ice cream station. The night’s entertainment included acrobatics, opera-singing and special guest DJ Becca Dudley.
