The agency secured Christmas bookings worth more than £750,000 from 70 companies local to the Swindon and Bristol areas, as well as from clients in London, Scotland and the Midlands.

Planet Pursuits reported that as well as an increase in the number of companies booking Christmas events in 2015, it also saw spending rise to 23% higher per person on average than in 2014.

It suggests that one of the key factors in the shift in festive spending is due to an increasingly competitive job market, where firms feel the need to keep staff happy with more elaborate Christmas celebrations.

The agency expects the trend for a rise in bookings to continue, and has already confirmed business this year.
