The agency has hired Laura Murphy as client director of new business, while Jane Hill has been promoted internally to client director from senior project manager.

Murphy joins from Line Up Communications, where she worked as account director. Her role at mcm will involve approaching new client partners to help build on the agency’s growth this year and she will report to managing director, Nicky Milligan.

During her past 14-years in the industry, Murphy has worked with General Motors Europe and GlaxoSmithKline, leading internal senior management conferences and strategy meetings in the UK, Europe and international divisions.

The appointments follow a successful year for mcm, which saw the senior leadership team expanded with the appointments of Karen Evans as client director, Brendan McCaul as creative services director and Mark Nicholls as creative director earlier this year.

The business also underwent a complete strategic brand refresh including a relocation of its headquarters from Hammersmith to Kew.

Milligan said: "As a team, we are immensely proud of what we have achieved this year, the awards we have won, our growing team, and brand refresh all sets us in good stead for this success to continue. We’re tremendously excited about what the future has in store and look forward to a bright future for mcm and our client base.

"The appointment of Laura and promotion of Jane will play an integral role in delivering award-winning strategies for our key clients. Their appointments are a true reflection of the success we’ve enjoyed in the past 12 months, and they will be a key part in our future growth."
