The venue has welcomed in excess of 20,000 delegates to almost 30 medical-related events throughout 2015.

Other national events to have taken place at the conference centre include Health and Care Innovation Expo, International Surgical Week, the Microscience Microscopy Congress 2015 and Developing Excellence in Medical Education.

The medical trend is set to continue next year, with events for the British HIV Association and the NHS Confederation already confirmed.

Angie Robinson, CEO at Manchester Central, said: "The city is known for its strengths in research, science and technology and this, combined with the world class facilities on offer at our venue, is a huge draw for medical professionals looking to host leading events.

"2015 has been a stand-out year for Manchester Central; we’ve hosted a huge range of events and look forward to welcoming even more medically-focused events next year alongside a whole host of national and international conferences and exhibitions; with a number of special events thrown in for good measure!"
