Five agencies to watch in 2016: Banks Sadler

C&IT has chosen five agencies to watch in 2016, in different categories. Today we speak to the established agency, Banks Sadler.

Why?

Banks Sadler has seen a busy year with a great deal of expansion. Last month it announced 12 new international hires as part of its global growth strategy, across its account development, marketing and finance departments. The agency recorded a rise in profit for 2014 and took fifth place in C&IT’s top 50 agencies list, rising six places from the eleventh spot last year. In May, Banks Sadler was listed among the UK's best places to work in this year's Great Place to Work rankings, while in June its new Shanghai office, which is targeting the Asia-Pacific market, went live.

What they say:

Leigh Jagger, CEO at Banks Sadler, said: "There have been lots of successes this year. We’ve managed to grow in what is still a tough market, we’ve actually seen year-on-year growth for the last ten years now which is great news.

"We’ve won some great new clients and retained some of our key accounts that went out to full market tender, and we’ve managed to retain them despite that, which is reassuring for everyone involved.

"Opening our China office in June was also a highlight and a significant milestone for us as a business. Some of the success we’ve been really delighted with is across our production, creative content and technology teams, which has allowed us provide end to end solutions for our clients, as we’ve seen a massive growth in the demand for that."

What does 2016 hold?

Jagger said: "We’re looking for quite aggressive growth next year definitely, and setting ourselves a target of double-digit growth with all of our offices contributing. All of the offices are also currently recruiting, and we’ll be looking at more roles in the production and creative side, as well as senior level sales roles. We’ll need some senior staff to help manage the growth activity."
