Fairmont opens Claremont Club & Spa in California

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has added the Claremont Club & Spa in California to its portfolio after a multi-million-dollar restoration.

The hotel, which was built in 1915, is located at the base of the Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve and overlooks San Francisco Bay. FRHI Hotels & Resorts purchased it in 2014, and it has undergone a multi-million dollar investment project that has seen the facilities updated and architecture restored.

The Claremont has 276 guestrooms and suites, all of which have been updated by global design firm Gensler, including the luxurious new Presidential Suite. The hotel also has a club and spa with tennis and fitness centre and an range of different eateries.

Meeting planners can access to 6,096 sqm of meeting space, including the Empire Ballroom, which can accommodate 450 delegates. There are also a number of smaller meeting rooms with bay views.
