As well as a 50% profit increase, Planet Pursuits reported a turnover increase of 10% in 2015 and expects this to continue in 2016. The company stated that its growth is in part due to five new clients coming on board in 2015, including door manufacturer Vicaima.
The Wiltshire-based agency has reported a ‘dramatic change’ in direction since its creation 15 years ago. It has extended its services from focusing on teambuilding and corporate activities to becoming a fully comprehensive event and corporate travel solution for more than 300 clients.
This change in direction is backed by Planet Pursuits' new partnership with Advantage Travel, the UK’s largest independent travel agent group.
The agency is currently working on a full rebrand and a new website to reflect the changes, scheduled to launch in January.
Despite the change, Planet Pursuits reports that it has a high client retention rate, which it believes is down to it retaining a ‘personal, friendly service’ and the feel of a family-run business.
The agency’s long-term clients include construction company Carey Group, which has worked with Planet Pursuits for more than three years and recently appointed it with all its travel requirements, and civil engineering and building group Hochtief.
