Saggar will be responsible for the ongoing development, management and execution of Capita Travel and Events’ digital strategy to support customer needs and the business’ growth.

He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in business travel technology and joins Capita from Maybourne Hotel Group where he was group IT director. Prior to Maybourne, Saggar was vice president of corporate solutions at Travelport and in the past he has held various positions at HRG with responsibility for technologies including self-booking, data reporting and expense management.

Trevor Elswood, chief commercial officer at Capita Travel and Events, said: "Digital is critical for meeting procurement’s needs and improving traveller and delegate experiences. We are delighted Paul is joining us to build on the investment we are making in this area. We are very clear about the ways technology can transform business travel, meetings and events and Paul’s appointment will help shape the steps we take to support our growth."

Saggar added: "Capita Travel and Events has a reputation for listening to customer and supplier needs and building the solutions that meet them. Creating intuitive online technologies is one thing, but Capita is looking beyond today’s digital capabilities. It is this openness to the potential of digital, backed by passionate people and an innovative and focused business, which I find really exciting."
