Pestana to open Algarve resort

Portuguese hotel group Pestana is opening a further property in the Algarve this year, following the launch of the Alvor South Beach, which opened in August.

The Pestana Algarve Race Hotel & Resort will be located near Portimao's international racetrack. The property is expected to offer around 200 rooms but 75 will be made available in the first phase of opening. Other facilities include a conference room, a spa and indoor pool.

The forthcoming property is the result of a partnership between Pestana and Parkalgar, the racetrack owner.
