IT & Telecoms sector worth £158m to UK event agencies

IT & Telecoms is the largest sector for the UK B2B events industry, accounting for £158m of the top 60 event agencies' UK-based turnover in 2014.

According to exclusive figures revealed in C&IT’s latest Brand Book - an in-depth analysis of the industry’s top six sectors - IT & Telecoms was closely followed by the pharmaceutical industry, which accounted for £151m.

Meanwhile the financial industry accounted for £98m, the automotive industry was valued at £76m, retail accounted for £48m, while food and drink totalled £35m.

The figures are calculated using C&IT’s top agencies table ranked by event-based turnover, which forms part of C&IT's flagship State of Industry report.

Brand Book will be officially launched at the Brand Book Live event on 23 November at The Mandarin Oriental, Hyde Park. Corporate and agency event planners interested in attending should email Edyta.Wierzbowska@haymarket.com
