Starwood to open St Regis in Shanghai

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide has announced plans to bring its St Regis brand to Shanghai.

The St. Regis Shanghai Jingham will be located on West Beijing Road, in close proximity to the West Nanjing Road business area in Jingan, a well-established central business district featuring corporate offices and luxury retail stores. It is planned to open in early 2017.

The hotel will have 480 rooms, including 41 suites and 47 residences. All of these will be located on the 29th to 59th floors of the building to offer views of the Shanghai skyline.

Facilities will include 2,000sqm of flexible event space, as well as three different restaurants and an alfresco bar. There will also be a spa, and indoor swimming pool and a fitness centre.
