Lucy Meehan has joined as senior events manager, while Charlie Womack has been appointed as events manager.

Meehan has come from another prestigious historic London venue, LSO St Lukes, where she worked for six years, and brings a wealth of experience in conferences, dinners, award ceremonies and weddings. Meanwhile, Womack has moved from Sunbeam Studios, managing every aspect of events from photography to catering.

"The maximum capacity at my previous venue was 400 guests standing," said Meehan. "So it’s a hugely exciting change and challenge to work at the Museum which weekly holds events for more than 600 seated guests. I’m looking forward to working within all the Museum spaces, and particularly welcoming more guests for private functions within the galleries and smaller exhibitions."

Womack added: "It’s always been a career ambition to work at the Natural History Museum. I’m delighted to be working alongside the fantastic team, as well as building relationships with the suppliers."
