Cornucopia Events forecasts turnover rise after team expansion

Cornucopia Events has expanded its team by four, in line with plans to increase its annual turnover to £9.7m by the end of year.

According to managing director Mini Vohra, the agency is on track to hit its target, increasing annual turnover by 20% from last year’s £8.1m.

Dominic Richards, Giana Spiteri and Claire Adam, all recent graduates of Bournemouth University, have been hired as events managers, while Robert Kemp has been appointed as IT manager.

"We’ve been busier than ever and I’m delighted to have these new joiners as part of the team," said Vohra. "I think the growth in business is down to our increasing global awareness. We are now operating in 90 countries across the world, with DMCs based in all of them. We are organising events on a global scale and the brand is becoming increasingly well-known."

The agency, which runs the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, is also responsible for a wide range of corporate events, including Christmas parties and incentives.
