Former Concerto Group chairman Mike Kershaw joins AOK Events

Former Concerto Group chairman Mike Kershaw has joined the board of agency AOK Events as non-executive chairman.

Kershaw brings with him considerable events industry expertise, having spent the last 26 years helping to build Concerto Group into a £40m-a-year business.

As part of his new role, he will help the recently expanded team at AOK Events drive growth through strategic acquisitions and product development.

Kershaw said: "l have known CEO Alex Hewitt for many years and always enjoyed working with him. AOK Events is a great business with huge potential and a lovely team of people, so I am very much looking forward to helping them build an exciting future."

Alex Hewitt, chief executive and founder of AOK Events, said he was delighted to have Kershaw’s expertise on board. He said: "Having someone of Mike’s experience heading our board is great news for AOK Events. I am personally very much looking forward to working with him to help take our fantastic agency to even greater heights."
