Starwood Hotels & Resorts revealed its latest opening this summer in the Slovakian capital of Bratislava, with the Grand Hotel River Park, under the Luxury Collection brand.

The hotel is situated directly on the banks of the Danube and can be accessed via a private river pier or from its rooftop heliport. There are 231 guestrooms, each spanning 35m2 or more, while the Presidential Suite includes its very own private terrace.

Guests can choose from two restaurants: interactive dining experience Arte Wine & Tapas; and the River Bank Restaurant, next to the Danube promenade, which offers fine dining and more than 350 bottles of wine in its cellar.

A total of 11 meeting rooms and 255m2 of event space can host up to 600 attendees.

A plaza for outdoor events should prove to be one of the city's most popular venues.

Wi-fi: free throughout
