An industry veteran in the financial and healthcare sectors, Walker is currently the chairman of the Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership, and holds posts as a non-executive director at NHS Lothian, as well as being a trustee of several charities.

Walker brings significant international experience from the world of finance having worked in the UK, North America and Asia.

George Walker said it was an exciting time to be joining. "I look forward to bringing my own experience to the board and advising on strategy as the organisation goes from strength to strength."

Marshall Dallas, the EICC’s Chief Executive, said Walker’s industry experience would be invaluable to the next phase of growth at the EICC. "Over the next few months, we expect to announce further appointments with a view to bolstering the board for the years ahead."
