MPI's calendar of events will run from 5 October 2015 to 4 April 2016 and will include a series of campfire, insight and talktable events designed to share up-to-date knowledge and insight on the UK events industry to its members.

The first event will be MPI Insights, which will take place on 5 October at Emirates Stadium (pictured), North London, and will focus on international business for corporates and agencies looking to expand into new markets, as well as best practice on organising events overseas and improving the performance of suppliers.

Other events include the MPI Insights Economic Outlook on 18 January and the MPI Connects on 4 April.

Richard Parker, president of the MPI UK & Ireland Chapter, said: "At our annual strategic meeting, the MPI UK/IE Board was unanimous in its commitment to leveraging stand-out education and networking as a point of differentiation in a crowded association marketplace."

Chris Parnham, managing director of Absolute Corporate Events and MPI's new VP of communications, added: "There is something here for everyone, and this varied and packed programme spotlights MPI’s unique position as education and information specialists to the meetings industry.
"We have crafted a number of different types of event, in order to tune into the needs of all our potential audiences."

MPI announced in February that Copenhagen will be the host city for its annual European Meetings and Events Conference (EMEC), which will take place between 7-9 February 2016.
