Turner, who last month launched his PR business for the events industry, has been a member of ISES for more than ten years and has previously held a number of VP roles within the organisation.

Taking this role will make Turner president of ISES UK next year, following on from the current president Kevin Jackson.

"As a long-standing member of the association this is an incredible privilege and a big responsibility; following in the footsteps of some really brilliant people," said Turner. "The positioning of the association right now as a creative powerhouse is ideal and I’m looking forward to supporting the #Mornifesto."

Jackson added: "Ali’s experience in the communications industry is going to be invaluable in leading ISES next year. The event industry is going through a good deal of change but at heart we will always be creative communicators. Ali's understanding of that will allow ISES to continue its growth as we deliver more value for members and sponsors."
