Held at B1, a blank canvas warehouse space in Holborn, London, the event was attended by more than 600 professional sellers and focused on specific sectors including technology, home, garden and fashion.
Designed to reinstate the ecommerce brand as 'partner of choice' for professional sellers, each day comprised keynote presentations from senior eBay executives, as well as inspirational talks from external presenters including technology trends expert Paul Papadimitriou, and designer and co-founder of Red or Dead, Wayne Hemingway.
In addition, the event hosted group workshops to discuss key topics and upcoming market trends, bespoke sessions, and opportunities to network with fellow professional sellers and share success stories. The event also coincided with the brand’s 20th birthday this month, for which more celebrations are planned over the coming weeks in the UK and US.
The ongoing programme of events for which TBA will be responsible aims to provide professional sellers with an opportunity to physically engage with eBay in a face-to-face environment, and give them to tools to successfully market and grow their businesses using eBay’s selling platform.
Berengere Chaintreau-Fuchs, senior manager, professional seller engagement for eBay in the UK, said: "Professional sellers are at the heart of everything we do at eBay. We love to hear from them and it is very important for us to engage with our Sellers in a live environment, too. At events like this, they can meet the eBay teams who are committed to their success. We're recognising the great entrepreneurial spirit of these small businesses, and are proud to support and help them maximise their business potential on our Marketplace."
Karen Swift, TBA account director, said the idea was to create a legacy event for professional sellers and eBay to reconnect through a live forum.
