Manchester's Victoria Warehouse launches new event space

Victoria Warehouse in Manchester has announced the opening of The Bays area, part of wider expansion plans including a hotel extension.

The two new event spaces can host 360 and 200 people respectively for a drinks reception, or up to 560 when the rooms are combined.

Additional developments for the building, which will happen in 2016, include a basement event space and an extension to the on-site hotel, providing 400 additional rooms.

The first of the new Bay rooms features an open-plan kitchen and a large feature bar, while the main event space has a full A/V package, including screens and projectors, colour-changing down lighters on all the pillars, and a PA system.

James Cohen, owner of Victoria Warehouse, said they were pleased that the first phase of expansion had been a success. "We have already seen significant interest in the new space and already have confirmed events, including: the Independent Venue Show in October; a conference and 20th anniversary celebration for full-service digital marketing, technology and commerce consultancy, Amaze; and Cup North, a two day Northern coffee party.
