TRO’s new office in Madrid will work alongside its Barcelona office, which opened in January 2014. TRO Spain will provide solutions for brands including Nike, Telefonica, Swarovski, Real Madrid, Havaianas and Meetic.

Alberto Almar, MD of TRO Spain, will head up both offices and oversee a team of 35 employees working in client services, creative and production. The new office is opening following TRO's business growth in Spain and the rest of the EMEA region.

Michael Wyrley-Birch, chief operating officer of TRO EMEA, said: "We are increasingly receiving client briefs that require TRO to have expertise in multiple markets. We continue our strategy to expand our global agency model opening offices in local regions, while working as one agency unit with a consistent vision and culture, to ensure we are well placed to respond to client requirements for regional contracts."

Almar added: "We are excited about the new team joining us in Madrid and adding to our pool of fantastic talent, looking after some existing and new clients across Spain. We have a busy few months ahead with a number of pitches on the go, and some live projects for BBVA and Mahou-San Miguel."
