In Pictures: Leading Hotels of the World London Summer Weekend - part one

Leading Hotels of the World held its annual London Summer Weekend event on Friday and Saturday (21-22 August), inviting agencies on a treasure hunt and showcasing its properties around the capital.

C&IT joined event agencies from around the UK, including BI Worldwide, Absolute Corporate Events and Zibrant, on the London Summer Weekend event, which saw Leading Hotels of the World team up with Wildgoose Events and London & Partners to deliver a city-wide treasure hunt.

In competing teams, the agencies made their way around the capital with iPads, visiting each of the seven participating hotels, which included The Ritz, The Landmark, The Langham, Hotel Cafe Royal, Browns Hotel, The Milestone, Baglioni Hotel London and One Aldwych Hotel.

Challenges awaited at each hotel, giving teams the chance to score points and jump to the top of the leaderboard. Activities included everything from reenacting a scene from 'Notting Hill' at The Ritz to striking an imaginitive yoga pose in the Hotel Cafe Royal spa.

Tasks were also set up en route to each of the hotels, giving teams plenty of opportunities to find creative ways to score even more points, such as performing a ten-second dance behind an unsuspecting stranger or attempting a street performing act in Covent Garden.

After a long day, Wildgoose Events tallied up the scores of the seven teams, which were revealed at a stunning gala dinner at Historic Royal Palace's Banqueting House on the Saturday evening.
