Europe's largest centre of oceanography opens in Moscow

The Moskvarium Center - Europe's largest oceanography and marine biology centre, opened this week in Moscow.

The venue is divided into zones, and has around 8,000 species of marine and freshwater life from around the world. The water-show zone can host up to 2,300 visitors, with the opportunity to watch orcas, beluga whales, dolphins, walruses and sea lion performances, alongside 3D projections and special effects.

Another zone features seven swimming pools where visitors will have the opportunity to swim with the dolphins. Moskvarium is situated on the grounds of the VDNKh exhibition center.
