Okrafo-Smart joins the agency as account director after 15 years at Zibrant, where she worked under Absolute Corporate Event’s MD and owner Chris Parnham for almost ten years.

Okrafo-Smart is the second former Zibrant employee to join Absolute Corporate Events in recent months, with Jacquie Freer joining as sales and commercial director in May.

Okrafo-Smart said: "I’m absolutely delighted to be joining Chris and the team at Absolute Corporate Events. The intimacy of the agency really appeals, as it will allow me to spend more quality time with clients and more time on the creative side. After fifteen years with Zibrant I am truly excited to be given this new opportunity, supporting Chris and growing the incentive business stream and enjoying a new challenge."

Parnham added: "I am delighted to have Claire join Absolute Corporate Events. We made a great team back at Zibrant, and I’m looking forward to working the old magic again on our new and existing clients. Claire is well-regarded as one of the most creative and experienced incentive experts in the business and it’s a real coup to have signed her."

Absolute Corporate Events has also appointed Harriet Warren as events executive. Warren initially came from catering and has been working in the meetings and events industry from 2013, working at Trinity Event Solutions as conference executive. She has also worked at the Hilton Nottingham on the conference and events team.

The new hires come on the back of a record 2014 for Absolute Corporate Events, which saw the agency’s turnover and profits up more than 50%, leading to an expanding team and a move to larger offices.
