More than 300 delegates attended the HBAA annual forum this week (20-21 July) at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The first day saw both agent and member venues attend a session on economic outlook, by behavioural economist and strategist Roger Martin-Fagg, while Alistair Turner from the Business Visits & Events Partnership described the government's agenda for the events industry.

Educational content for the programme included a central panel session focusing on procurement, with senior representatives from Capita Travel and Events, British and American Tobacco and Compass Group UK & Ireland.

Guests also enjoyed an evening of dinner and entertainment at the hotel, with a British funfair theme.
