Steigenberger Hotels to open five-star Dubai property

German hotel group Steigenberger Hotels will open a five-star property in Dubai's Business Bay in October, its first hotel in the Emirate.

The 365-room property will be located a stone's throw from the iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper, and will be both close to Dubai's historic old quarter and Dubai Mall. The hotel will offer a 470msq banqueting and conference area, five restaurants, spa and fitness facilities.

Puneet Chhatwal, CEO of Steigenberger Hotels, said: "Having recently announced hotel openings in Istanbul, Munich, Cairo, and Mallorca, the opening of the new hotel at Business Bay re-affirms our commitment to international growth and the Middle East in particular. The hotel in Dubai is symbolic of our growing international presence at strategically important locations."

Steigenberger Hotels is also planning another Dubai property, the InterCityHotel Culture Village, which will open at the end of 2017.
