In line with the industry’s proposals to attract fresh talent to the events sector, the scheme provides a platform for successful applicants to gain vocational insight and an understanding of the meetings industry.

Working with universities throughout the UK, Ashfield Meetings & Events has appointed five Events Management students as project executives: Marianna Zacharia, Alice Brown, Milly Pickles, Katherine Matthews and Miles Wood. An additional placement opportunity has been offered to Business and Management student, Sarah Moore, in the marketing department.

Helen Capelin, head of operational excellence, said the opportunity would provide them with the skills and experience to follow a career in event management.
