Scholtz’s appointment comes after Green & Pleasant Events, which was launched by former Paragon director of events Frances Green last year, made recent account wins in the financial services sector. The agency is predicting a turnover of £1.25m in its first year.

Scholtz previously worked with The Cavendish Group as operations director and has 15 years of experience in the events industry.

Green said: "I am absolutely delighted to have Celia on board. She brings a wealth of experience in bespoke events and hospitality that will allow us to offer our clients a broader service. Thanks to recent wins in the financial services sector, as well as a loyal client base, we’re forecasting turnover of £1.25m in our first full year of trading and Celia will be instrumental in ensuring those key accounts are nurtured and grown to their full potential."
