Starwood to debut Aloft brand in South Australia

Starwood Hotels & Resorts is building its presence in South Australia with the signing of Aloft Adelaide.

Expected to open in early 2018, the new-build hotel will form the centrepiece of New Mayfield, a mixed-use development in inner-city Adelaide.

Aloft Adelaide will feature 200 loft-like guestrooms, 500sqm of flexible meeting space, an indoor glass bottom rooftop pool and a fitness centre. The meeting space will be complimented by a rooftop bar and lounge overlooking the city, underneath the glass bottom pool.

"We are thrilled to be expanding into South Australia for the first time with the signing of Aloft Adelaide," said Sean Hunt, regional vice president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Pacific. "Adelaide is set for major growth over the next few years and we foresee significant business and leisure demand for innovative and design-led hotel options, such as Aloft."

The signing of Aloft Adelaide follows the recent announcement of the Aloft Sydney Pitt Street, slated to open in October 2016, and last year’s announcement of the Aloft Perth Rivervale, set to open in early 2017.
