Viparis has announced the appointment of Michel Dessolain as its new CEO

Dessolain takes over from Renaud Hamaide, who had occupied the role since 2008.

Dessolain is currently chief strategy officer at Unibail-Rodamco, where he has held various positions since 1997. Since 2003, he has served as chair of the French Shopping Centre Council.

Jean-Yves Durance, chairman of Viparis's Board of Directors, said: "Michel Dessolain has had an outstanding career within Unibail-Rodamco and has contributed greatly to the commercial real estate sector. His managerial experience and keen strategic abilities will serve him as he takes the helm of Viparis and continues to enhance the appeal of Paris as a destination, carrying forward the achievements of Renaud Hamaide."

Michel Dessolain, the new CEO of Viparis, added: "I am delighted to join Viparis to carry on the tremendous efforts of Renaud Hamaide. His extraordinary achievement has put Paris at the forefront of the sector. With this ranking comes the responsibility to provide an impeccable experience at each of our sites, to make Paris not only an appealing destination, but one that is truly sought after. To do so, it is vital that we continue our efforts in the three strategic areas as defined by Renaud: digital transformation, the customer's journey and experience, and sustainable development."
