The Hoxton, Southwark will have 192 rooms and a meeting and events space known as The Apartment. It will also feature a rooftop bar and two restaurants. The 14-storey development will be the third London hotel in The Hoxton series and is due to open in 2018.

Sharan Pasricha, founder and CEO of Ennismore/The Hoxton, said: "Southwark is an incredibly exciting part of London. South of the river is where we chose as home for our third London property because we're big fans of the neighbourhood, especially the theatre and food scene and we're looking forward to growing up alongside it."

The Hoxton are currently opening their first hotel outside of London in Amsterdam on this July, and also have openings planned in Paris and Williamsburg.
