On Tuesday (9 June), Searcys teamed up with luxury boutique hotel brand Montcalm, for the official launch of its new event space M by Montcalm.

More than 80 guests gathered at the venue in Shoreditch, London for a tour of the event space and were treated to Searcys’ food and drink and a cocktail demonstration.

The new conference floor at M by Montcalm Shoreditch features a collection of adaptable events space suitable for a range of meetings and conferences.

On Thursday (11 June) The View from The Shard officially opened London’s highest summer garden space, 244m above the city.

Around 50 people gathered for the launch event, which saw Fearne Cotton cut the ribbon and a performance by London’s Blackheath Morris Men.

The skydeck at the top of Western Europe’s tallest building has been transformed for the warmer months, with more than 2,000 plants and flowers. The area will be open for drinks receptions and picnics throughout the summer.

IBTM America also took place in Chicago this week, from 9-11 June. In total the event hosted 181 main stand holders, with exhibitors from both US and overseas destinations. Delegates included hotel and venue reprentatives, event planners and technology and event service teams.
