Australia: four of the best food-based incentives

From wine tastings to indigenous food tours, delegates with a passion for food will be spoilt for choice in Australia.

Ayers Rock Resort bush tucker trail: Ayers Rock Resort has recently introduced a bush tucker trail aiming to take guests on a journey of indigenous flavours with signature cocktails and dishes incorporating traditional bush tucker ingredients. Guests take the trail at restaurants throughout the resort, experiencing modern Australian cuisine with hero ingredients used in the diets of indigenous people. Dishes include braised pork belly with Australian plum chilli sauce and macadamia nut salad or traditional wood oven pizza topped with kangaroo and emu strips.

Wine tastings: Delegates can explore the vineyards and taste world-class wine from the Murray River region in Victoria, with the launch of a daily ‘Wharf to Winery’ cruise by Murray River Paddlesteamers. The trip will take delegates from the historic Port of Echuca to Morrisons Winery, where they can enjoy a two- course seasonal menu in amongst the local scenery, whilst meeting with local winemakers and sampling award-winning wine.

BridgeClimb corporate package: The Sydney BridgeClimb has been available for some time for corporate groups but food and beverage options –either pre- or post-climb are now available, alongside the option of having a VIP welcome reception.

Food tours: Australian chef Tawnya Bahr has created a range of food experiences available across the country, which give groups the chance to explore the Australia's food heritage. Itineraries can be tailored to suit the level of cooking experience and a typical tour might include farm, vineyard or aquaculture visits, personalised tastings, hosted meals by an iconic Australian chef and meet-the-producer sessions.
