The lowdown
The seaside venue has recently hosted events for cosmetics brand Lush and the British and Dutch Transplantation Societies. It comprises four main auditoria, with a total capacity of 10,000, plus a series of breakout rooms and reception areas.

What's new?
A new range of menu choices will become available from the summer. Updated furniture and a state-of-the-art A/V system will be installed next year.

Stand-out feature
Venue staff can arrange teambuilding and corporate incentives as an 'add on' to events through its leisure centres and town partners.

Buyer verdict
Amanda Taylor, head of in-house travel team at Lush Cosmetics, says: "Returning to the BIC was an easy decision. Its versatile spaces helped us recreate our science-themed Lush Prize event from last year in the Windsor Hall, with the addition of dry ice, bright lights and decorations that made the space feel intimate, despite the size. The BIC team worked extremely hard to ensure our event ran seamlessly; the food was excellent, meeting the needs of 680 for a sit-down dinner; the service was superb; and overall, this event was a huge success."
