David Casey joins as central events desk manager and will be based at QHotels' headquarters in Leeds.

He has previously held senior sales roles at Mercure Hotels and Queens Moat House Hotels. He will be responsible for managing multiple property enquiries in the Midlands, East Anglia and Southern England, whilst overseeing the group’s events team.

"After 20 years working in the events and hospitality industry, I’m delighted to be joining the AA Hotel Group of the Year," he commented.

"Corporate customers often choose multiple sites for their events, so as the new central events desk manager, I’ll be managing and maintaining the group’s excellent level of service and driving further enquiries."

Michael Purtill, managing director of QHotels, added: "David has a wealth of experience and expertise to bring to our team and he’ll make a real difference to our events offering.

"We know he’ll give our customers the unique and personal booking experience they expect from QHotels."

QHotels has 27 four and five star hotels across the UK, each with its own unique conference and events venue.
