The 25 partners represent almost 60 countries, including drp, Congrex Switzerland and B Network as previously reported by C&IT.

Since the Network was launched last October, Maritz has been searching for partners in key geographic areas to help it provide the best regional knowledge, capabilities and cultural solutions for its clients.

The partners were chosen in key geographic regions where client demand is high – Asia Pacific; Europe, the Middle East and Africa; and Latin America.

The partners are: Albamy, B Network, CIM Global, Congrex Switzerland, Connect DMC, Consorcio Holding, Destination Asia, DRP, Emirates, Eventia, ESA, Gema Tours, GIS, Grupo, Elis, ID Events Australia, Mazurkas, Megatours, Moloney & Kelly Travel, Organizacion S.A., Pacific World, Premio DMC, Terramar Destinations, Uniline Exhibitions and Walthers DBS.

The Global Meetings Network is guided by Maritz Travel Company’s three global general managers – Ben Goedegebuure, Eduardo Chaillo and Ping He.

Ben Goedegebuure, global general manager of Europe, the Middle East and Africa, commented: "Our partners are indispensable in helping us create culturally responsive experiences for our clients – whether corporate, association or tradeshow.

"Not only will we rely on them to provide unique regional expertise, they can help us operate more effectively and efficiently on behalf of our clients while helping us navigate local practices, languages cultures and business ethics, and ensuring we are complying with governmental regulations, taxes and currencies."

David Peckinpaugh, president of Maritz Travel Company, added: "Together with our partners, we are embarking on a journey to bring something new to the meetings industry – a true, collaborative approach to global meetings that translates into real benefits for clients."

The company, which consists of Maritz Travel Meetings & Incentives and Experient, said it will continue to add additional partners to the network as the industry evolves and client needs change.
