
This is according to data from the Algarve hoteliers association AHETA. It said that the areas of Lagos/Sagres, Albufeira and Carvoeiro/Amacao de Pera were those with the most significant increases compared to last year.
The data also showed that five-star establishments accounted for the lowest occupation levels of the Algarve (43.4%), with more middle-of-the-road three-star hotels reaping the benefits (64.3%).
